Saturday Robotics

I completed my second co-op at Saturday Robotics in Spring of 2024. Saturday is an early stage industrial automation startup.

While at Saturday I worked on the following:

• Developed a pneumatic and cable-actuated alignment device for precise, repeatable positioning of a soft-sided box in automated packing

  • • • Led full-cycle design process working with limited clearance around existing systems: concept generation, prototyping, bench testing, and final product build.

      • Realized project in 3 months utilizing in-house manufacturing methods (laser cutting, sheet metal bending, 3D printing), produced custom parts, built multiple units, and created technical documentation.

• Designed, built, and installed various guards and paneled assemblies to guide items and prevent drops 

  • • • Developed funnel-like paneling for existing accumulation areas using acrylic and custom metal brackets bent to precise angles

      • Created cut patterns and sent out for custom panels to be manufactured

      • Worked at height and operated a skyjack to install guarding
